Implementation Science for Health Practice:
This hands-on workshop introduces health practitioners to the essential tools and concepts of implementation science in a highly accessible and practice-oriented format. Tailored for clinicians, nurses, program officers, and frontline health staff, the course demystifies complex theories and translates them into actionable strategies that bridge the persistent “know-do gap.”
Participants will engage with concise teaching videos, real-world case studies, and ready-to-use toolkits that support direct application in clinical and programmatic settings. By the end of the course, they will be equipped to identify common barriers to implementation, align interventions with context-specific strategies, and embed sustainable changes into everyday workflows—making continuous quality improvement both practical and impactful.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Analyze and respond to everyday implementation challenges in clinical and operational settings using a structured, practical decision-making approach.
- Recognize and categorize common system-level barriers to the uptake of evidence-based practices and align them with targeted, evidence-informed strategies for change.
- Design and test small-scale improvements that can be rapidly implemented, evaluated, and sustained within healthcare teams or departments
